On Sunday August 11, 2019, the first annual juried Fine Arts Festival was held on the Plymouth Library lawn from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please click here to see some of my original works of art displayed at the event. What a great day it was with 50 exhibitors showing their original and handcrafted canvas art, sculpture, woodwork, glass creations, art fabric and more. It was a great event and very well attended. I brought many of my fine art paintings, hand painted resin fish in shells, and hand formed resin flowers. We found the crowd to be very welcoming and embraced many of my new and unique art pieces. I sold out of several items, so I guess it’s back to the studio for me as we have another show in September.
Great Paint Night Party held at Waldenwoods in Hopkinton, MA on March 14, 2019. There were about 14 budding artists participating in the event and everyone walked away with their own original masterpiece. Great job to everyone and special thanks to Pam Wilkinson for helping to put this event together!
I have been invited to participate as a “Guest Artist” in the Hatch Street Studios Annual Open Studios Event Friday, November 16-18. My art will be displayed on the second floor near the elevators. Hope you can come see us as it should be a fun time with more than 80 artists & artisans participating.
Once again, thanks to Lisa Lund for inviting me back to instruct her participants in painting a beautiful moon lit winter scene at her fundraiser for Paws Cat Shelter in Milford. Everyone had a great time putting their masterpieces together as they sipped and painted through- out the evening. They all came out beautifully and once their painting was complete, each one was lightly dusted with a touch of glitter for a little extra sparkle. If you would like to see some footage of the class in action, please click on the following link. https://youtu.be/JcnLhf7gHBc
Taking a look at the picture, I guess you can tell everyone was totally engrossed in their paint pouring projects. The paint was really flying around, but by the end of the evening, everyone was able to take home several beautiful and unique masterpieces ready for hanging.
Due to popular demand, we will be putting on another class of paint pouring techniques after the holidays, so please let me know if you would like further details as they get firmed up.
Great turnout for the street art event in Worcester on Sunday, Sept 16th. It was a hot sunny day – with many folks stopping by our booth to say hello. We did a brisk business and almost sold out of a few items. I think most of the 300 vendors were hot and exhausted at the conclusion of the event, but very satisfied with the results.
Thanks to everyone who came to my Meet the Author/Artist event yesterday at Tatnuck Book Store in Westborough. It was wonderful to see some familiar faces again and your support was much appreciated. Our next event is in Worcester on Sunday, September 16 and is called START on the Street. This event will host over 300 artists with booths lining Park Street near Elm Park. All items sold in START on the Street must be hand made by the artist. I will be bringing a large variety of my art work which will include hand painted ceramic tiles, painted gold fish floating in sea shells, and over 50 of my original paintings. Hope to see you there between 11:00 am – 6:00 PM!
